No. Since our beginner facilities are located in the valley, beginners do not need a ski pass on the first day. However, it might be necessary to get a point card for the cable car “Korer”, always in consultation with the ski instructor.
Got questions for our ski school at Kronplatz?
Here’s all the information you need to know.
You can pay with a credit card at the ski school office. At the childcare facility only cash is accepted.
The right skiing technique will improve your control of the skis in different conditions (weather, slope inclination, etc.). For your own safety and that of others.
That depends on different factors such as previous athletic preparation, age and motivation. Athletically active people will learn to ski or snowboard more easily than others. Children aged around 3 take twice as long to learn to ski as 5- or 6-year-olds.
The same applies to skiing: practice makes perfect.
A helmet is recommended for every skier or snowboarder. However, helmets are only obligatory for children and young people up to the age of 18.
The earlier the better. Especially if you want to book a lesson at a specific time or with a specific teacher. It is recommended to book early.
Yes, if all participants ski or snowboard at the same level. Otherwise, it is not possible to hold a satisfactory lesson for all participants.
Children from the age of 3 can get their first experience on skis with our specially designed Cronido programme. Children from the age of 4 can attend a proper ski course, the Midi Club is for children from the age of 5.
We offer snowboard courses for children starting at the age of 8.
Yes, as long as they ski at the same technical level. Otherwise, this is unfortunately not possible.
On the first day of the course, all participants are allocated to the appropriate group according to age and ability. If it turns out that a participant no longer fits into the group during the course (because the level is too easy/difficult), they will be assigned to another suitable group.
Usually up to 8 people, in the high season there can be up to 10 participants in a group.
Yes, that is possible.
Complete beginners do not need ski poles. The following applies to advanced children: If the children have already skied with ski poles in a previous course, they can bring them on the first day. Children who have never skied with ski poles before do not need to bring them on the first day. The ski instructor will then provide the necessary information during the course.
If your child does not like the food, there is always the option of ordering pasta. If your child is allergic to something, please let us know when you enrol the child on the ski course and possibly also inform the ski instructor. Then we will order something else.
Normally, the money is only refunded in the case of illness if you bring us a medical certificate issued by a doctor practicing in South Tyrol. For the very youngest participants in the Cronido programme, there is also the option of booking a trial day. In any case, we will try to find an appropriate solution.
Hopefully not =) On presentation of a medical certificate issued by a doctor practicing in South Tyrol, you can, if possible, recover the lesson or have your money refunded.
Our lessons are held in all weather conditions, so the lesson cannot be postponed, neither can you get your money back.
Ideally some time before the lesson.
If you are late, please call us or contact the staff in our offices directly. We will contact the ski instructor and arrange a meeting point with him to pick you up as soon as possible.
